Australian cuisine is so blendable that it can take different forms of other cuisines. The indulgence of US foods in Australia takes a similar turn and caters to the taste bud of every Aussie. The inclusion of saturated fat, some extra sugar and salt is all the difference to make any Us cuisines Australia’s own. It is not just the taste and flavour here, but the attitude and the contribution of a globalised world that should be appreciated here.

The multiculturalism and diversity that are present in Australia are beyond mentioned, and there are a lot of outward inclusions in their cuisines. They include the Mediterranean, Chinese, Thai, Korean, Mexican and many more. Some even give a blend of other flavours in Australian foods. This article will give an elaborate idea on how to Americanise Australian foods, as there is no fun if there is no exploring what one eats!

Tip…

American cuisine has a peculiar touch of its sauces, marinades, relishes and pickles. They contribute a lot to bring authentic American taste to the foods. Make sure to buy them from authentic sellers and use them in the cooing to get all the cravings fulfilled.

  1. Potato Scallops with layers

As everybody is aware, potato scallops or chips, in a similar sense, is a commonly preferred snack all over Australia. They are a thin slice of potato, battered up and deep-fried with a lot of salt. Any Aussie would die for these chippies to munch on. Now to give an American blend to this yumminess, have these with some cheese sauce or ranch dressing. For those who are on the spice side, pass a little bit of sour cream and some sweet chilli sauce to get that burst of flavours.

Non-veg lovers can even eat it with bacon bits, ranch and some cheese. Do not forget to add that extra bit of salt that every Aussie craves for.

  • Spring Rolls

Spring rolls are another food in Australia that was taken from Vietnamese cuisines. However, now it is all Australian with the innovative bits of the Aussie blend.  The Australian version of spring roll can be found everywhere, from a fish and chip shop to any local supermarket. They have a doughy texture and not a pastry’s one.

Not to make it American, the fillings got to be blander and consist of simple flavours. The shape would supposedly be that of a burrito to give the spring roll an American look. However, the rice paper sheets can be fully loaded. So make sure to make it less messy.

  • Burgers

The Australian burger contains heavy metals that can make the hunger go away in seconds. They include a lot of beets which is not usually anywhere else, especially in America. The chicken cutlet used inside is a delicious and juicy southern fried chicken.

However, the love for US foods in Australia has become a thing now and burgers are a huge demand out of all of them. To make any burger American, remove the beet from it, add more cheese and mayo and let the patty be more crispy and juicy.

  • Chai Latte

The warm spices, along with some black tea and milk, can make the day for any Aussie. The Australian love for chai latte is one secret for a healthier and active body. The Aussie loves to have their chai latte a little spicier. However, for the Americans, it is too much to handle that spice and they prefer it on a sweeter side.

Therefore, to make an Australian chai latte American, tone down the spice and add more sugar content. Taste and see if it is the change that was required!
