UNDER THE COVER: 7 Things You Can Store in Your Attic

Date:

To have the house you really wanted and you yourself planned for is a dream come true. After a long time of saving up and looking for the best quality products for the house materials and the most excellent custom home builders mainly involved in creating your dream house, you finally achieved it!

There are several home styles, but you can choose to have a custom home design as well. Some houses come with an attic. It is the fair space located directly under the roof of the house. It’s the room under the cover of the house, which is the roof. Some people make it an extra bedroom, but mostly, the attic is used as a storage room for many things. If you have a new attic or an unused one, you might need some tips on what objects you can store in it! Here are 7 below!

1. TRAVEL STUFF

Put your travel stuff in the attic. Unless you have a travel-related job, you do not often use your luggage bags. You take them out and use them only when you are off to travel to somewhere far. But if you don’t travel often, a luggage bag inside your small room might be an obstruction.

Let them be placed in the attic, so they will not take any space that does not belong to them. At the same time, you will not be having a hard time looking for it in whatever room, since the attic room is as it is.

2. TOYS

When kids’ toys at home are too many, and you don’t know how else to tidy them up, the attic will be of great help. Especially if there are toys that have become mere displays since they are not used as often as before, it would not help if you will just keep them in your living room or bedroom. If your containers can no longer keep some of the toys, the huge tendency is that they will just be scattered wherever.

Keep your toys in the attic, so that even if some are not being used at the moment, still, the kids can remember them. Also, it would be nice if they see those things in there even when they grow older.

3. CONSTRUCTION TOOLS

You can put your construction and repair tools in your attic. These include ladder, tires, tool boxes and many more. This helps you in such a way that these tools will not be irresponsibly placed under the kitchen sink or in wooden cabinets. Especially if the tools are used only when importantly necessary, it’s ideal to keep them in the attic, so you will grab them out only when it’s been a long time since they were last used.

4. UNUSED CLOTHES

You might have unused clothes that you cannot give up because of sentimental value. Place them inside your attic, so even when you grow older, you can see them and look back to the beautiful and meaningful memories you have had with them.

5. SCHOOL PROJECTS

School projects with physical output sometimes end up in the trash for some homes because they do not need theirs anymore, and it already has a grade remark from the teachers. It’s somehow saddening to think that after staying up late for a project, you will just throw some of them away because it’s already checked and approved by your professor.

If you don’t want to throw away school projects, especially the art-related ones, you can store them inside your attic. In that way, you don’t just save space in other rooms, but you also turn a simple attic into a mini project gallery!

6. COLLECTION

You can put the objects that belong to things you are interested in. You can choose to place your items collection in there too. Especially if the purpose of putting them there is to make a bigger way in your bedroom and in other important rooms, it’s very advantageous.

7. HOME DECORATIONS

Occasionally used home decorations must be in the attic, so they are not unnecessarily stationed wherever they are not best to be in. Decorations and designs from Polar X Ornaments fits for Christmas, anniversaries, birthdays and so on and so forth must be kept well in there. Designate a spacious corner for all of them where they can easily be seen.

Doing so helps you save money as well because you will most likely not forget where you placed them, thus, you will avoid repetitive buying of the same kinds of stuff. Also, when you choose to just use the same items from the previous year for the current year, it’s a big part of your saving up. Just label them properly before organizing them inside your attic.

UNDER THE COVER

The attic is really nice, but many people do not know what to put in there. The above-mentioned things are just some of the most common. To determine what else to keep there, think about the stuff you have in your rooms which you do not often use or not at all. In that way, you would know if it’s going to be an inconvenience to you since you will have to go up and down the attic for one particular item.

Just store in your attic the stuff which you think needs more space and less human occupancy. Think well if spending your time walking up and down to and from the attic just to get and put back that stuff is worth it!
