A day in the life of Quarantine

For the most part, Many people think that they have a good routine to control their mind and body during quarantine․

They typically start their days off at the same time as they would if they were still at school. The extra sleep is great and all, but with classes online and a pile of assignments to complete, we can’t afford to sleep the day away. Plus, you can get a healthy breakfast to start your day off just right. They are dead set on not procrastinating their work, considering there’s really nothing better for them to do trapped inside their house.

After people get most of their work done, they like to make sure they are taking time to stay active since sitting for most of the days now. They find that working out in their backyard feels especially good for their well-being. Personally, they feel that the bright and warm sun improves their workouts significantly. People can sweat more and be able to breathe in the fresh air as opposed to being indoors all day.

They make sure to spend a minimum of half an hour outside every day to make sure their skin is being exposed to the sun and fresh air. This helps to keep people from going cabin-fever crazy, which most people must be feeling as well.

They have also realized that they did not drink as much water as they should have at school, so now they consistently attempt to drink at least eight glasses of water a day. It keeps them hydrated and maintains their overall health.

Being in quarantine doesn’t need to be so boring — they take all this free time as an opportunity to take up old and new hobbies. They didn’t have much time to read or watch all the movies on their bucket list. Now that they are at home, they can finish the novel never got around to finishing and watch great films that are just waiting to be viewed.

As cringe-worthy as this may be, they are trying to learn one new TikTok dance a week. It honestly keeps their spirits up and they think dancing is a great way to cope with boredom. Most importantly, they make sure to spend plenty of time with their family. It’s very easy to go crazy being stuck under the same roof with the same people for so long, but they like to cherish the time spent with mom, dad, and brother. They don’t get to see them too often, so it’s good to slow down and appreciate them.

Coronavirus is all over the news. The coronavirus hit us by surprise, and consumed us within months. Nobody predicted that it would kill so many people, force countries to lockdown, shut schools and public places and put our life on hold. It hit us and now it’s everywhere. It made the whole world bleed, and spread like wildfire.

During this chaos, we then realize the weight of humanity, the implications of our actions and how we all are connected. While we wait for borders to be opened, so that we can go back home in the comfort of our bed, we hear the shouts of refugees louder, we ’empathize’ with those who have been uprooted from their home, and force to flee, we understand their pain and suffering because we know how it feels. 

We’re living through history right now. Although we are going through a horrific time filled with all kinds of uncertainty, we are given the opportunity to spend more time with our loved family and learn more about ourselves to a broader extent while also strengthening our mental mindset. There are so many things we can do to help each other during this pandemic. As a person, we have the ability to help our friends, families, elders, people with illnesses in our community and people with high risks of getting the virus. The world changed in an instant. Learn to adapt to this new world, be there for each other, and take care of yourself.
